Buying CBD flowers online and using them the right way: from vaporizing to herbal tea, recommended dosage, storage and when to avoid. Eight years of experience in one read.
1. What CBD flowers are
CBD hemp flowers are the dried female buds of the Cannabis sativa L. plant, selected for a high cannabidiol (CBD) content and a THC level below the legal threshold — under 0.2% in the European Union. CBD is the cannabinoid associated with the relaxing, anti-inflammatory and anxiety-easing effects reported in scientific literature. It is not psychoactive: it does not alter perception and is not addictive.
The flowers also contain aromatic terpenes (limonene, myrcene, linalool, β-caryophyllene) that, in synergy with the cannabinoids, create the so-called entourage effect: the experience is always that of the whole plant, never a single isolated molecule.
2. Vaporizing (recommended method)
Vaporizing is the most efficient and healthiest way to consume CBD flowers: the flower is heated to a controlled temperature that never burns it. No smoke, no combustion, no tar — only activated terpenes and cannabinoids.
Temperature
- 160–175 °C — light extraction, aromatic flavour, gentle effect. Ideal for the first session of the day.
- 180–190 °C — the sweet spot: CBD fully vaporizes (boiling point ~160 °C), heavier terpenes add depth.
- 190–210 °C — maximum extraction, more toasted flavour, full effect. Use only at the end of a session.
Devices
Look for convection vaporizers (hot air passes through the flower) — cleaner than conduction ones. A pipe or grinder is enough for a first experience, but a stable-temperature device makes a real difference.
3. Infusion & teas
Cannabinoids are fat-soluble: they barely transfer into pure water. A CBD tea only works if you add a fat base.
Base recipe — 250 ml
- Crumble 0.3–0.5 g of CBD flower (a generous pinch).
- Heat 250 ml of whole milk, coconut milk, almond milk with MCT oil, or water + 1 teaspoon of clarified butter to 90 °C.
- Add the flower. Infuse 10–15 minutes on very low heat, without boiling.
- Strain through a fine sieve. Sweeten to taste — honey pairs well with sweet terpenes, ginger with spicy ones.
Slower onset (30–60 minutes) but longer-lasting than vaporizing. Great before night-time rest.
4. Starting dosage
Start low. Always. The effective dose varies from person to person based on weight, metabolism and prior experience with cannabinoids.
| Experience | Amount per session | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| First time | 0.1–0.2 g | Vaporize at 180 °C, a single session, wait 30 min |
| Occasional | 0.2–0.4 g | One or two sessions a day |
| Experienced | 0.4–0.8 g | Multiple sessions through the day or a long evening |
A 0.2 g vaporizing session is roughly 30–50 mg of bioavailable CBD absorbed, depending on strain and device. The anxiety-easing dose documented in clinical literature starts around 25 mg.
5. When NOT to use CBD
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding — there is not enough safety data.
- Anticoagulant therapy (warfarin, dabigatran, etc.) — CBD affects their liver metabolism.
- Severe low blood pressure — CBD may lower it further.
- Under 18 — sale prohibited in most of the EU.
- Before sports anti-doping tests — although CBD is off the WADA list, sub-threshold THC traces can show on very sensitive tests.
If you are on any medication, always consult your doctor before adding CBD.
6. Storage
CBD flowers are a living product. Treated badly, they lose terpenes and go dusty. To keep them at their best for 6–12 months:
- Store in an airtight dark-glass jar (ideally with a 58–62% humidity pack).
- Keep in the dark, somewhere cool and dry (16–20 °C). Never near heat or in direct light.
- Open the jar only when needed. Every opening oxidizes some terpenes.
- Avoid the fridge and freezer: moisture damages the trichomes.
7. Origins — Europe and Prague
Ladymary CBD flowers are grown in selected European origins: our production grows in the Prague region (Czech Republic), under EU regulation <0.2% THC, which allows intra-EU shipping with no customs. Our indoor facilities guarantee premium genetics and a terpene profile curated batch by batch — every detail of European craft tradition. Indoor only.

8. Frequently asked questions
Is CBD legal in the EU?
Yes. In the EU, products with THC <0.2% are not classified as narcotics. Ladymary only ships products that comply with the destination country’s regulations.
Can I drive after using CBD?
CBD does not alter perception. However, products with THC traces above a certain level can test positive on sensitive roadside tests. Check your country’s rules before driving.
How long does it take to work?
Vaporizing: 2–5 minutes. Infusion: 30–60 minutes. Edibles (oils, drops): 60–90 minutes.
Are the CBD flowers organic?
Our indoor selections are grown without pesticides or herbicides. The Prague indoor facilities follow organic protocol and EU GMP standards. Every batch is tested for pesticide residue and heavy metals.
